Enhanced CD authoring for
record labels, producers and artists
Visual Development Interface
The CD UltraVisual Development
Interface is designed to make Autorun Application development
rapid and intuitive. Featuring a WYSIWIG display assisting
you with object placement, visual characteristics and
manipulation based on key mouse events. The Tree view
display is a powerful display and selection mechanism
providing quick access to all characteristics of a given
project. Rapid Insert, delete and modification of all
characteristics including Z-order placement and function
scripting.
Toolbar A rapid access toolbar provides
quick access to common functions. You don't have
to navigate through the pulldown menu or context
menu structure to perform frequently used functions.
The
CD Ultra interface is very clean. The CD Ultra interface
is unlike traditional UI schemes in which the user selects
an object and then modifies it with commands from the
menu bar. Rather, you can modify screen elements directly
by double-clicking on it to add new Scripts and Events
or modify existing properties. A dialogue box containing
all possible modifications opens so you do not need to
sift through a sea of unavailable menu commands. CD Ultra
makes extensive use of context menus and dialogue processes.
Tree
View The Tree View on the left
side of the CD Ultra interface is helpful for understanding
and modifying ScriptItems. The Computer reads and
executes ScriptItems sequentially, from the top
to the bottom. The Tree View, with its top to bottom
ordering of the Objects and ScriptItems in the page,
is an excellent visual metaphor to help you build
an elegant and functional Script structure.
Page Editor The Page Editor displays
a graphic view of your project. Selected Objects
are framed. ActiveX controls are represented in
size and position by shaded boxes. Graphics are
displayed as is. Layout and visual characteristics
are easily manipulated in the Page View editor.
Code View Code View is an alternative
to the standard CD Ultra Object View editor. Code
View displays the entire project as lines of text
rather than graphics and screen elements. In Code
View you can edit any component of your project
without relying on dialogue boxes. Additionally,
you can modify properties that are inaccessible
through the Object View.
